If you have a venue in mind that is great or pick our brains about venues we have used for charity abseils before. If it’s new to us we will need to do a site visit which provides you with a Risk Assessment and Method Statement to make sure everything is safe before you abseil for charity. FAQs
Here are a list of questions clients frequently ask us about Charity Abseil Events in the UK. If you need more information on anything, please do not hesitate to call or email us and we will be more than happy to help.
Where can we run our event?
We run Abseil events nationally and usually use a building that the client has found. Sometimes this is a corporate sponsor or a local hotel that are willing to let you use their building to abseil from. We have various venues that we have used before, so it is worth talking to us first to see if we can help.
How many people can take part?
This will depend on factors such as the height of the building and how many ropes we can fit in as well as roof access and the take off point? Once we have done a site visit and written the risk assessment then we can give you a clear idea but even if we look at the building online we can give you a best estimate.
What equipment is provided for Abseiling?
We supply all the technical and PPE equipment you'll need for the abseil including helmets, harnesses, rigging and abseil ropes.
How do I book?
You can either email us using the enquiry form and we will send you a booking form or you can call us on 07784 005097 or 01629 814557 and we will take some details and send you a booking form
What if I need to cancel a course booking?
See the Terms and Conditions page on our website for more detailed information.
Do people need insurance?
We have public liability and professional indemnity insurance although you also have the choice of considering purchasing your own personal accident and cancellation insurance. The following companies provide appropriate mountaineering insurance although you may have your own company that offers similar: British Mountaineering Council

Phone: 0870 010 4878
Can under 18s take part?
Yes. We hold an AALA license which means that we can work with under 18’s and all staff are CRB / DBS checked for your reassurance. Their may be venue specific restrictions so please check with us first.
Will you give my details to other people?
No. All information supplied to us remains completely confidential and we will never pass it on to third parties. You may receive an email notification from us regarding future courses or offers but these are infrequent and easy to opt out of with one click. We also give you the option to opt out of photos that we may take on the day and use for social media promotional purposes.
What is the timetable for a Charity Abseil Event?
This may depend on the Venue but a typical day starts at 930am and finishes by 430pm. Some hotels prefer a later start to fit in with the running of the hotel. These times can be extended or multiple day options are available (venue permitting).
Who have you worked with before on a Charity Abseil?
We have run numerous abseils for charity up and down the country. We are an approved provider for Cancer Research UK and have worked with dozens of other charities to help raise hundreds of thousands of pounds. This includes many national charities and many more local charities such as Child Liver Disease Foundation, Ashgate Hospice, London Air Ambulance, Heathrow Airports, RETT UK, RSPCA, Midlands Air Ambulance, British Lung Foundation, MHA, The Haven, Hartlepool Hospice and the list goes on.
Do you need to know about medical conditions?
It is essential that you let us know about any medical condition or injury when booking and that you also let your instructor know on the day of your abseil event. This information will remain completely confidential but is essential to allow us to tailor our approach to suit you and to ensure your safety. With some conditions it may be best to seek professional medical advice to confirm suitability for participating. We are happy to chat through specific requests based on our experience
